The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

The book is written by John Boyne

The boy in the striped pyjamas is about is a nine year old boy called Bruno. He is a naive little boy living in Berlin during World War II. His father, a Commandant was promoted to be the owner of a concentration camp. Bruno will have to leave Berlin and move to a new place in the middle of nowhere having to leave his three best friends and try to find a new way to keep himself entertained. He finds something to keep him occupied but if he tells anyone it will end in serious consequences. The book delivers a frightening ending and the book is always full of surprises. The book uses some descriptive language to tell you what it was like for children during the war and what it was like. The book is scary and exciting. I loved this book and I would recommend it for everybody over the age of ten.
