The Department of Education and Skills recently introduced new Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools to accompany the new Children First Guidelines.
As part of the introduction of these new procedures the Department of Education is allowing schools to close for two half days this school year to allow staff engage and receive in service on these new procedures.
As a result our school will close on Wednesday 14th February at 12.30 p.m. for all students to allow all school staff to receive this in service.
Please note as staff members of Ardcarne Community Playgroup and Afterschool are also attending this Child protection training there will be no afterschool service on Wednesday 14th February.
